ZORA

Bringing a sense of lightness into the solid structure of our world

The pragmatic and secular life of living in the city caused many people to live busy, stressful, and materialistic life.  Hence, there is a need for spirituality to improve the mental well-being of modern society. There is contemplative architecture which are spaces capable of inciting spiritual experience but are often limited to places that house spiritual activities such as religious buildings, retreats, and museums. According to research, the modern world spends most of its waking hours working. The workplace is also a stressful environment that triggers the decline of mental well-being. Hence, there is an opportunity to design contemplative spaces within the workplace.

Design Intention

‘To alleviate the stress of the working population by designing spiritual experiences in the secular spaces of the modern man.’
